OK where to start. Yesterday we did very little indeed. There was a full on thunderstorm all day yesterday so sight seeing was out of the question so I holed up in a net cafe for 5 hours before getting a kebab for breakfast! $20 for 5 hours net access!

After that with nothing to do I went up to the roof garden and started drinking with Antti. We all ended up going to some house party up the street and drinking dirt cheap boxes of wine until 3am. Antti was more drunk than anyone I have ever seen before and kept referring to himself as the President! He was such an embarrassment that we had to take him home before he did something stupid. Was a good night though.

After the excess of last night I didn't rise until 1:30pm! I wasn't planning to do anything until 4pm anyway so I did well in wasting the morning. Met up with Dave for breakfast and he informed me that we had a parking fine!

The traffic wardens in Melbourne are even more over zealous than the ones in England! We had parked in the correct place but received a ticket for parking against the flow of traffic! $63 for having the car facing the wrong way! What a joke!

At 3:30 we went off with a huge group of people from our hostel to go and watch the AFL at the Telstra Dome. Now I know nothing about Aussie Rules footie but I had a great time and enjoyed every second of what was a seriously close match. I had been cheering on St Kilda but Collingwood wound up winning by 1 point in overtime. I will no doubt be seeing some more AFL while I'm here, especially if it stays at the bargain price of $15. Also used the unofficial free transport network, aka the trams, for the first time and had no chance of paying as it was totally packed. Not that I would have paid anyway having been forced to wait for 45 minutes for one to turn up!
