Awoke pretty early to see the sun streaming through the many holes in our shack. The day had finally arrived where we would get to go to the beach! Quickly had breakfast before walking the 2 minutes to the beach.

Victory beach is alright. Sure its got a view of the port and the water isn't that clear but I still made the most of it. Was in the sea within moments of arriving and was amazed at how shallow it was. I expected it to get deep quickly but I could walk out for miles and as a result the water was very warm.

The beach is quite touristy as you'd expect but it was almost empty, no Germans bagging their sun loungers here! So we sat around for hours getting the nice burning red tan we'd dreamt about. Well actually I didn't really burn so the sun cream must be doing it's job!

Had a quick cold shower (which was like heaven) before heading down to the bar. I've been reading a book about Japan and it's got me all nostalgic and given me a sense of longing to go back. So when I saw a Japanese restaurant in town I was straight in! Some gorgeous sashimi and tempura later and I was very satisfied! I will be going back there for sure!
