After arriving at the new home on Tuesday afternoon, things went quickly downhill.  I started to feel nauseous Tuesday night and thought that I was just a little dehydrated from the drive.  The next day I still felt nauseous and thought maybe I had food poisoning but decided to drive to the shopping center to try and get my phone fixed, which was a very bad decision.  I nearly passed out at the shopping center and had to come home and spend the rest of the day and night in bed with a fever.  I felt ill for the next two days and it wasn't until Saturday morning that I started to feel OK.  That was just in time, as we had Dad's last party with the family on Saturday and I spent all of Saturday morning (with a lot of help from my sous chef, Rich) preparing for the party.  If I hadn't started to feel better, it would have been a huge disaster!

The party was great though, a good time was had by all and it was a great opportunity for me to see my extended family before going away and of course...more sad goodbyes :(

Today was the first day since last Tuesday where I was feeling OK and there was not a million things to do.  So we went fishing with Dad on the broadwater just outside their new apartment complex.  It was a really nice afternoon and I caught 4 fish....a bream, 2 whiting and a flounder.  Unfortunately they were all to small to eat, but it was fun none the less.  Dad was disappointed with his haul of 3 very tiny whiting and Rich almost caught 2 crabs.  Not a bad effort, but we'll have to be better if we want to actually eat any of our catches in the next few weeks.

Tomorrow we're off to Perth for the start of our 4WD journey up the coast of Western Australia.  After all the planning, its hard to believe its finally here!!
