Overnight train back to Madrid for a day. We are trying to find tickets to the bullfight. We will let you know how things work out. ~

Got the tickets... fairly cheap. Beside the levels, like a regular arena, they also price by, Sol (Sun), Sombra (Shade), and Sol e Sombra. Lyn and I agree that it was a must do while in Spain. It each match starts with the horns blowing by the band up in the stands. A bull comes out into the ring and the junior matadors pop out from behind the barricades to have the bull run back and forth across the ring. But the jr matadors run behind the barricade before the bull gets too close. The horns sound once again and these two guys in armor on horseback (armored horse) come out with long spears. The Sr matadors comes over does his thing drawing the bull near the horse. The bull attacks the horse, only to get the spear in the back. Blood gushes everywhere. Later the jr madators run up to the winded bull and jam long skewers into the bulls back. The sr matador does his thing once more. After a while he pulls out a sword. When the bull lowers his head just before his next pass under the cape, he gets the sword between the shoulder blades. The jr guys run in taunt the bull in circles where it eventually collapses. Then one guys reaches in and pops the bull in the back of the head with a small knife to finish him off. (A few times the matadors sword would not find its mark or fall out. Once the pop to the back of the head took 5 tries. The crowd was booing pretty loud). After it is over , the band plays and a group of horses is brought out and drag the carcass back to the barracks.

After we saw how the bullfight was played out... we were both rooting for the bull.
It was something we were looking forward to, being in Spain. But I don't think we be seeing another.

Check out the movie Lyn shot (in the photo album).

We are then headed to Morrocco. Dont know when we will be posting next, but we hope to get some pics up ASAP. (Sorry for the delay)
