Woke about 6.  Back to sleep till alarm at 8.30.  Homemade pancakes and banana for breakfast, then shower and on the road about 10 heading for Hershey for Cheyenne's birthday treat.

Chey's treat was take her friend Mackenzie to visit the butterfly house in Hershey Gardens and then go to Texas Roadhouse Steakhouse for dinner.

Back up route 15 North.  Got a bit lost after we got route off 15 near Harrisburg.  Huge rainstorm  with lightning and thunder just before Hershey.  The GPS lead us to Palmyra (north of Hershey) - Gabrielle had put in the address of the steakhouse instead of the butterfly gardens.  The rain stopped so we decided to have lunch at the Hometown Family Restaurant in Palmyra before going on to the Butterfly gardens.

I had shrimp bisque and a crab cake sandwich, Marie had beef and veg soup and a plain Jane burger, Gabrielle had the bisque and plain Jane, Chey spaghetti and meatball without sauce, Mackenzie had mac n cheeze with hotdog  $45 all up for 3 adults and 2 kids.

Reset the GPS for Hershey Gardens but it took us to Hershey Hotel. The gardens were not far away but the weather was threatening.  It cost $11 for adults and less for kids as well as $10 each for a treasure hunt for the kids which had a gardening tool as a prize for finishing.  The gardens were very pretty and the butterfly house fantastic.  Hundreds of (I think) more or less local butterflys.  Unfortunately we had only been there about 10 minutes when there was a flash of lightning and security said we had to evacuate.  We explored the garden a bit more (including finding a Kangaroo Paw) until it started raining again.  We sheltered in the gift shop for a while but eventually decided it was unlikely to stop long enough to reopen the Butterfly House so we headed home.  The kids can come back for free another time to complete their treasure hunt.

It hammed rain again as we drove to Walmart in Littlestown.  Marie brought some clothes and other birthday presents for Cheyenne as well as some souvenirs for some at home.  I bought some Rapala lures for Brad and Joel.  I couldn't find a car magazine for Dixie but Gabriele ws sure they had them free at some gas stations.

Texas Roadhouse Steakhouse was nearby in Littlestown.  They told us there was a 35 minute wait for a table and gave us one of those vibrating things to tell us when it was out turn.  At TRS while you are waiting for a table you eat peanuts out of the shell and throw the shells on the floor.  WE had done that for about 15 minutes when Our thing vibrated and we had a table.  The steaks displayed on the way in were huge.  I had a half set of barbecued ribs with a salad and fresh steamed vegetables and a Sangria Margarita, Marie had an 8oz sirloin with fresh vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy and a Strawberry Margarita.  Gabrielle had the same steak as Marie with sweet potato and applesauce, the girls had steak bites, Chey with fries and Mackenzie with applesauce.  The Margaritas were HUGE - literally couldn't pick them up.  The staff come and sang to anyone who is celebrating a birthday - we heard 5 including Cheyenne.  $90 all up.

We took a longish way one buying gas, looking for a mag for Dixie and taking Mackenzie home.  Got home about 9.30.
