It was weird arriving back in Bangkok. I got a sense of been there done that kind of thing when we found a hotel, but still in all it is a nice place to walk around for a few days in some kind of normality after being in Laos and Cambodia for the past three weeks.

We didn't really do a whole lot here this time as we just wanted to get a few bits and bobs, some souvenirs and find out about heading down to the islands off the east coast of Thailand.

So we set off and tried to buy a few souvenirs from the markets. It still drives us mad having to bargain for everything as the Thais are the worst that we have met so far for bringing down the price. It was much easier in Beijing and to some extent in Vietnam. After all of our hard bargaining we set off to send the few things home only the cost of sending the it all home cost more than everything we bought!!! Ah well, it has a long way to go I suppose.

So we bought an overnight bus ticket for Koh Tao island north of Koh Phan Ngan and Koh Samui. Don't know what to expect but we can't wait so see these little paradises.
