Rattling through the Altiplano in this loosely connected bus.  My IPOD is barely overtaking the volume of the shaking window but once again, I'm blissfully entertained by the magnificent scenery of the Andes, the fields of llamas and alpacas grazing in the high altitude valleys, the sounds of Shankar, Riverdance, Grateful Dead, and even some Andean mountain music streaming into my brain...and the feeling of incredible good fortune for all the abundance in my life.  To be blessed by all that awaits my return home and then to have the opportunity to explore the riches of the world - this has been an amazing year - and I still have so much more to experience.  I feel not only personally enriched - my understanding and preconceptions constantly in a state of challenge and reconstruction, but I know that I have so much more to bring  back to my students/my teaching and, at this point, I want to express huge gratitude for everyone in my life who has made this year possible.  From those of you at WG who have encouraged and provided time and support for this experience to my treasure of family and friends who consistently nurture and provide the stability underlying my ability to do things like this...my big appreciation goes out to you all!!
