Sampson Cay Marina

Leaving Warderick Wells, we just went out to the Sound Side and continued South.  You can't believe that that part of the Ocean was so quiet.........no wind, no waves......just deep cobalt blue water.  We have had a few issues with the Garmin GPS and Ralph had gone on line to try and figure it out.  When the water would get over 500 feet deep , the thing would get a crazy and start blinking.  This morning after he put in some information, we could go to over 1500 feet deep.  It is amazing how the depth drops off from 100 feet to 1000 ft. and back and forth......  We checked with a man at this marina and he says that the Dolphin are definitely running and we should be trolling in about 500 ft of water......

We checked in at the Samson Cay marina    on Monday about 2:00 p.m.  It is a very nice place.  It must be for the 'rich and famous'.   The employees here are not very friendly like all the other places.  They are a little snobby!  The grounds are very nice ....a good little store, but no one to wait on you.......a nice restaurant  and many mega yatchts.  This is the place that boast of their nurse sharks.....and they have them.

We went out for a long dinghy ride, but didn't do any snorkeling because the tide was running so hard.
We figured it wasn't a good idea.  Zoomer had trouble making good headway in the current.....we couldn't slow down because the tide would take you back.  Like two steps forward and one step back.
Beautiful sights.  I made it sound scary, but it really wasn't.  We were OK!

I guess we were both tired from travels..........Ralph slept til almost 7 and I didn't get up until 8.  We needed that!

On to Staniel Cay today.  Probably be on the hook for a few days with no internet.  Just think about it
when water is 50 cents a gallon and you have a 50 ft boat to wash.......you take 2 minutes showers or less, cold at that because it is so hot.  What do these people do with the 100 ft + boats.  That reminds me of Ralph's first job at Plough, Inc.  His boss took him home with him for dinner.  Showing Ralphie his swimming pool, Ralph asked him how much it costs to heat the pool??????  The boss said, son if you have to worry about how much it costs to heat the pool.....you can't afford the pool in the first place.

All is good!  Even with a fried Oven.
Until next time.
