SIGHTSEEING along the COAST south from GOLD BEACH

Gold
Beach:  Huge rocks at the south end. Bright sunshine but extremely strong wind.  The dry sand was blowing like crazy; felt like being sand blasted.  Watched a seal near shore that would pop its head up out of the water every now and then.

Cape Sebastian:  The overview on top of the headland gives gorgeous panoramic views.

Pullout befoe Myers Creek has great views.

Myers Creek pullout:  Interesting rock formations. This is the best place to walk the beach, especially at low tide among the huge sea stacks.

Pistol
River pullouts:  Quite a few wind surfers; amazing how they fly over the waves.  A couple of kite surfers had a perfect spot where the river meets the ocean and the water stays trapped at low tide..

Arch Rock Point
:  Path around top of cliff with magnificent views.

Sunset
at Gold Beach from Ireland's RV Lighthouse; a perfect place when the wind is so strong and the sand is blowing.

This ends our travels down the Oregon Coast.  What a gorgeous part of the country—ocean, sand, rocky shores, mountains-- amazing scenery everywhere.
