I last left you in Stonetown. We caught a very rough ferry back to Dar before heading off down through Tanzania. We drove through Mikumi National Park, saw Boabobs, with there leafless branches sticking up in the air. We had 2 days of long driving and rough roads before we entered Malawi. As we crossed the border, it was mayhem, touts wanting to exchange money, trying to get our passports stamped and us guarding the truck! We arrived at our first destinate in Malawi Lake. Chitimba.

The other Kumuka truck was in too. So we had a bit of a party at the bar. After to many shots at the bar I ended up going skinny dipping in Lake Malawi, and getting bitten alive my mossies (because my back and bum were not covered!). Nikki and one of the guys Jez, thought it would be funny to take off with our clothes.....mmmmmm.....what would i do know? Eventually I got them back and headed to bed.......

The following day, a little seedy, we lazed around, taking dips in the lake and relaxing. In the afternoon someone wanted to bake and Malawian Banana Cake because we couldn't get bananas, we ended up making a chocolate one, but the main ingredianet was purchased just outside the gates of the camp and we spent the afternoon playing spoons, and I felt find until my lips and face went numb and I couldn't pick up the spoons! Seeing that we couldn't travel with the ingredients we gave it back to the locals. It only cost $2 US a bag and we didn't even use a quarter of it!
