(50 miles)
Finally starting to get a piece of the paradise we were imagining. We got an early start (there's not much to hang out and do at an abandoned campground) and rode thru Stari Grad which was beautiful. Our church doesn't exist yet in the region, so we were unable to go to church today, but it was so quite and peaceful being a sunday morning. We rode along some more cool towns along a peaceful coastal road, riding right on the water. We enjoyed the clear blue water and the wind being blocked by the mountain that runs along the center of the island. We of course had to cross that mountain to get to the other side, but it was such a relief to be out of the wind that we didn't mind too much. We frequently are still suprised and impressed with how strong we've become, and that we can make it up mountains without too much trouble. We had lunch at a deserted'ish rocky beach. Mmm, more sandwiches with ham, cheese and mayo. Sometimes when we're feeling wealthy we splurge on a tomato to sruce it up. Sandwiches are really the only way to go when you have no knife or heating supplies, and you need lots of food. Sandwiches and cookies are our closest friends.
We made it across the island and to the mainland. We slept at Zaostrog, the Pigeon Forge of the Dalmatian Coast.

Italy or bust
We can hardly wait to see how you get across the mountains in Italy to get to Rome. Do you first plan to work on your tans for a day or two in your tourist paradise island before hopping on the ferry? Have a great last week of adventure
