This was an awesome riding day. Our bodies are sore and we know we need a break but today we were blessed that the first half of our day was a gradual downhill through the beautiful Vosges Mountain valley of france. I'm sorry our pictures don't do it justice. It was such a wonderful change of pace from the traditional rolling hills of the french country side to the beautifully wooded hills. We weren't initially planning to go to Strasbourg but Chrissy was really craving a good tarte flambee. This is a pizza-like alsacian specialty. So we went to Stasbourg. Beautiful city we enjoyed our tarte flambees on a terrace just before it started to rain and hail. The storm was short-lived.
When we rode into town, I began to recognize the neighborhood and so I rang the doorbell of someone I taught as a missionary 9 years ago and sure enough Chatenay opened the door...
