One week walking in the Carpathian Mountains. We stayed in a tiny village at about 1000m altitude near the town of Zarnesti (Zar-nesht). We saw wolves, bears, beavers, all kinds of crazy insects I've never seen before. The local pub was literally a tin shack. We went to Dracula's castle which, since the Queen of Romania used to live there was more of a stately home in the heart of a tourist trap than a creepy castle with shadows that move separately to it's inhabitants. It was still interesting though. And a little thieving pikey bastard stole my phone and keyring...what a twat!
