Our next stop on the route was at the Route 66 Diner in Albuquerque. When doing some research for where to stop along the route, this one came up often. It didn't dissappoint. We took a break from the burgers and got the "Pile up" It was basically a bunch of breakfast stuff all thrown together. Very good. The restaurant was surprisingly in good shape. Compared to some of the other places we stopped, it was hard to believe how good of shape this one was in. Thanks to our trusted researcher, we learned that it had burned down and been rebuilt.

Tesla Motors (new electric car that will do 0 to 60 in less that 4 seconds) is building a factory in Albuquerque! They will produce the 4 door sedan there. 250mile range on a charge - equivalent of 135mpg. Who knows how they calculate that!
