Well, the time has come.  Today at 5:30 pm, Christian and I will be leaving Guatemala for now!  We will not actually get home until tomorrow, since we have the same funny layovers again (Honduras, El Salvador, DC, NC).

This trip has been amazing - and as for the goals that we had at the beginning, we are pretty happy with the results.  The biggest was Christian,s visa, which we got - yay!  It was also an incredible time for us as a couple, full of adventures and quality time with family and friends.  Probably the least successful area was in the work category, but enough of that got done too!

In the beginning of May, we did not think it would be possibly for both of us to be in Guatemala/ nearby counties for this long, but here we are all the way at the end.  God provided the funds in mid-May, wonderful friends to care for our animals, and a peace in our heart to take advantage of this unique span of time that we might not have again for a while.  Whew... we are so thankful.

Now, it is back to life in NC, and we are more excited than ever.  We feel even more confident that God,s place for us right now is little Morganton, NC.  After this time away, we are really longing for the things that He has provided us there - living around the corner from my parents, amazing Christian fellowship at Faith Church, a little house that we are trying to fix up, our sweet dog and cat, places to work and study, and even lots of Guatemalans!!

See everybody soon!  Christian and I are newly inspired to do lots of Guatemalan cooking (thanks to Dona Conny, Christian,s mom) - and anyone that is willing is very WELCOME to come try some!
