Nothing much to report of late.
My visa expires on the weekend, which is quite a big problem and I hope to sort that out tomorrow with the help of the school. They seem to only want to help me extend it by 2 months which meant that I had to wait until now. If this fails then I do have a backup plan, but might be a little tricky and expensive. I'll have to let you know how that goes.
Last night I had the priveledge of watching the Soccer via webcam on Dad's Laptop. The World Cup will be screened on my TV in the apartment, so I will have no problem watching that. Monica is in her hometown now for her days off and will come back this evening. We have been watching some movies lately. She had never seen Grease and being a fan of the old sing and dance movie, I told her it was a must. We have also watched some other movies that have somehow come up in conversation such as 'Coming to America'.
It hasn't been to hot lately, although it has been pretty consistent at about 22 degrees. The humidity isn't bad, but I still feel hot by the time I have arrived at the school. One of the teachers there went to the Shanghai World Expo and had a great time. The more I hear about it the more I want to go. But I am a little worried about the crowds, people getting squashed and dying of heat exhaustion etc. As a result of the expo, people who have travelled to Shanghai have also visited Hangzhou, so the traffic lately has been pretty bad given that my bus ride goes straight past the West Lake. Thankfully I am living in Binjiang, which is on the other side of the Qiantang River for those playing at home.
