The past few days have been fairly uneventful.
The day after Dad and Maurice left I went to NBC Studios for the studio tour. The gift shop was really good with some cool Seinfeld and The Office T-shirts which I bought and am wearing now. As for the tour however, it was quite disappointing. They showed us the news room briefly and from a poor angle and at ground level, so you could see very little at all. Then they showed us other rooms that were replicas of the real ones not so far away. The best part was probably seeing the real Saturday night Live studio but it is the off season so they were using it as a storage area so took a lot away from the spectacle. Overall the CNN Studio tour in Atlanta was far far superior.
One of the other days I headed over to Columbus Circle for lunch. It has this big supermarket which includes something that could be described as a self-serve food court. You can get all types of meals there and you just take what you want. I wasn't all that hungry but got myself a Chicken Soup and a few bagels. Lots of people were buying food and whilst the lines were long there were many registers so it moved quite quickly.
On Saturday and Sunday I planned to do thesis work but got very little done. It is hard to concentrate when you are all the way overseas and have to an introduction section on 'Humans as Social Animals’. I must say this whole thing has worried me for a while. Will I end up regretting going on this trip, will it end up severely costing me marks on my thesis? It’s hard to know for sure, but I find it hard to believe that other students spent two months of their holidays doing little to no work on their thesis. So much to do when I get back! *Sigh*
Even more disappointing news is the devastating loss last night. It was horrible. The guy at the pub was very nice and kept giving me free beers, in fact I didn’t pay for a single beer as he was also an Essendon supporter. If only we could have bloody won that game. *Sigh, , Double Sigh*
Off to Niagara Falls tomorrow. It will take me 9.5 hours to get there. I had to change my hotel to a closer one to the falls as the taxi would have cost too much. I am not sure whether I will have to go to Canada to get a good view and whether its even possible on my visa. Will have to find out when I get there.

P.S - Hello to Grandpa. I reckon you are looking forward to your trip to Surfer’s! I’ve heard it’s fairly cold in Melbourne. I am sure I will speak to you when I get back to Melbourne and can speak to you and Nana on the phone.
