We woke up fairly early and left to the Airport. The airport is very near to Downtown Washington so it took us about 15 minutes to get there. I had Dunkin Doughnuts and Chocolate milk for breakfast. Yum Yum. The plane was one of the really small ones. Not surprising given the flight time is only 38 minutes. The only problem is with a plane like that is that you feel every small movement of the plane.

We got to New York city perfectly on time at 10.30am. Manhattan is quite far from JFK airport and that is made worse by the traffic. It is like peak hour every hour here. The apartment we are staying at is very small, with one bed between the 3 of us and with Dad being a big snorer, I think it will be extremely difficult to sleep at night. Hopefully I will be able to stay here until I leave to go to Buffalo for my CFI course.

From the hotel we walked around a bit to get our bearings and ended up in Times Square. The amount of tall buildings is just incredible and the view are amazing. People are walking everywhere. It's hard to tell whether it is tourists or the real New Yorkers. We had lunch at a Deli and I got a good old Chicken Noodle Soup which was tasty. After that I got a 7-day subway pass which will help us commute over the next few days. After that we went to Chinatown which is full of street sellers of things you’d expect from the streets of Bangkok. Wallets, Copy DVDs, Handbags and Perfumes all with just the hint of something wrong with them. We walked around for quite a while and then returned back to the hotel  for a rest.

I will let the photos speak for themselves.
