We didn't have to drive to Chase Field to watch the game.  That's the good news...  Rich kindly invited us to ride with the gang in the Suburban.  The bad news?  None yet, for sure...  We've had a grand time visiting and enjoying our sojourn with the young Washingtonians.

The game was interesting, since we hadn't gone to one for a few years.  The "DBacks" came in second to the LA Dodgers.  The food was tolerable and ,as is all "sports food," pricey.  But, as we all learn, sooner or later, it's part of the action.

The busyness of the ball park area was another thing.  Fortunately, we made it in and out of Phoenix with only a minor hitch or two.  The weather of the evening was terrific, with a temperature of around the mid-eighties.  We enjoyed that.  Shorts and short sleeves were the uniform of the eve.  Ironically, Lynn had picked out a new shirt for me while shopping in the afternoon...a red short-sleeved jobby... The DBacks color.  Very cool...  Made me feel like a loyal fan, if only for one night.

We got back to camp in the dark, but it was much easier, what with less traffic and a bit of practice affect from the other night.  A late night it was, which necessitated a late rising this morning.

Today was breezy and cooler.  We took only a short walk around the campground and talked with folks about where we could find a laundromat.  Not very exciting, but a necessary task.  The Park Ranger told us how to get to one on the local Reservation at their RV Park.  They let folks who are camping here use the facilities.  It's only twenty minutes away or so.  Tomorrow is the big day. ;o)

Lisa and Rich and the gang leave tomorrow, so we drove back in and had an early dinner with all of them.  They did a new version of chicken tacos which was mighty tasty.  If you are interested, let us know.  It's easy.

Breaking bread is a great way to visit and end a great time together.  We did lots over their week here and there.  We'll miss them...

Thanks again for stopping by.  We'll be keeping in touch.

Sounds like you are enjoying yourselves. We are still in Italy - eating our way around Sicily.
