After about an hour's driving in near windless conditions this morning, and after stopping at the Utah Welcoming Center for a lunch break, all Heck broke loose, so to speak...

Today's travel set a record for the most challenging drive in a motorhome ever for us.  We went through at least four snow squalls and encountered up an inch of freezing slush on the Interstate near Ogden, which really made a believer out of us.  If you know us, you know that we are, in fact, believers.  Today was the challenge of our winter lifetime.  We survived well, of course, but must give credit where credit is due.  'Nuff said...

We got into Nephi...pronounced like Nehi, you know, the Orange Drink... at about three in the afternoon.  We're in site 62 and got easily leveled with our new Auto Leveling Jacks. Very cool.  Then we got the water system going and the RV antifreeze purged.  Nice to do it here and not wait until St. George, as we do in our usual winter routine.

We are settling into Fiona and getting to know our favorite seating locations et cetera.  It's much like a small home and it does take some getting used to.  The sun has shone here and it looks good.  It's only snowed three times since our arrival.  Just like "Home, sweet home." :o)

One picture today at the Welcoming Center:  Fiona does "Play well with others."  Oops... for some reason, I couldn't get it from the phone.  I'll put it on flickr tomorrow or so.  See http://www.flickr.com/photos/ralphieboyo/

Thanks for stopping by...

Be safe on the roads. It snowed in Great Falls all day and currently the 10th Ave South bridge is closed with a semi accident.

Sorry you had the crazy weather drive. I was thinking about yas as I drove to Butte to help out with the arrangements. Very poor visibility, but the road surface was mostly clear. A bit of slush and cover on the pass. Glad you are safe now. Carry on pals. Love yas

Your 200 miles away from warm red rocks. In the 70s, no chance of rain today.
You already know that though I'm sure. Get out shorts and walking shoes. Natural heat by noon, what a pleasant reason reason to hit the road.

Glad to,hear you are well. I was thinking that that old ticker of yours probably could use a few thrills. Stay safe. We are leaving for three weeks in Italy.

So did you have grape or orange Nephi? I remember those well. We just went through that town a couple weeks ago but no snow or storm so sorry to hear you got hit so hard....thanks to the "helper" but also thanks to your driving skills and abilities you made it through. Seattle is raining-like a lot-but I manage to get around to all the 2nd hand places and antique shops. Hey....

Looks like Fiona is proving to be a real champion-ess of the road. I'm sure you will continue to fall in love with her as your travels continue. I agree that the power levelers are a lot easier on the back and attitude and I too miss your menu descriptions.
