Now what??

I know, I know, we should have stayed home, snuggled against the cold and snow, but...it's my birthday and we thought we should go somewhere and celebrate.  Not quite the truth, but here's how it happened:

As many of you know, we've been searching for a replacement for what's his name, the motorhome. (Keep this mum, as he has feelings too.)  So I realize that Costco gives a great discount for RVs too, as well as cars and such.

We find something that we like and find the nearest Costco RV affiliate.  Post Falls, Idaho be it.  We send an email, automatically, it seems, just by signing into the program. Hmmm, that was easy.  A nice fella, Clayton, by name gives me a call.  I tell our story.  He doesn't have any Class C's that fill the bill, but they handle the Thor Class A's as short as 28 feet in length.  Why not?  He refers us to Cheryl, an even nicer person, filled with vim and vigor, as they may have said back in the "Dark Ages" of my youth.

Oh, did I mention she's located in Kennewick, Washington??  No problem, we can leave on Saturday, says Lynn.  That's my birthday, I say, but we have no set plans, so I agree. She's so dang cute, who wouldn't?

Eight hours later, including only a single half-hour period of sheer terror in a MTDOT snowplow-induced white out, here we are at the Blue Dog RV seller place.  Eight inches of snow covers the lot, but the MH is warm and cozy and waiting for our inspection/review/checking out.  Take your pick.  Cheryl is even nicer in person and shows us the rig.  Plus, she shows us a fancier one, at my request.  Dang, will I never learn??

Long story short, we miss our reservations to have East Indian food, due to the lateness of the hour AND the crappy weather, and have re-heated pizza at the Quality Inn.  Lynn is prepared for anything it seems.  All in all, we've made no decisions, had a great birthday adventure and are still alive.  What more could a man ask for in the area of celebration?

Tomorrow is another day, as my mom might have said.  Speaking of which, tomorrow is quickly approaching, so I'll end this attempt at journalistic entertainment.  BTW, it's still snowing here in the so-called "Low Lands."  Hang tight, there'll be more tomorrow...

Sounds like a "cool" way to celebrate a birthday - whiteout notwithstanding. Happy birthday Ralphieboyo.
