Our trip from Yakima went fine.  The Tablet/GPS found the Godsons' house easily.  We parked in the street where we had power and a pretty level house site.

All were happy to see us.  Daniel, age 14, had more time to visit, but Andrew, age 16 was a busy guy, what with social obligations and soccer play and refereeing to be done.  Everyone, including Lisa, Jim and both boys, was at home for our arrival dinner of Mahi Mahi and barbecued flank steak.  Both were treats to the palate.  Jim, our nephew-of-sorts is a GREAT cook. Daniel, Godson number two, is on his way to be a fine cook also.

We visited the rest of the evening away, with plans to watch Andrew's game and make cookies on the morrow.

We slept well and after a quick breakfast we were off to the field.  The game was a tie at two all and was a treat for us to watch, not having seen any of the their games for several years.  Andrew is now age sixteen, so you can imagine the difference in the game play!

After the game, we drove to Green Bluff where we had lunch at a Fruit Farm and picked up a case of green Bartlett Pears for later use in the Marmalade process.  A real find, they were, at a bargain price. My mouth waters already.

Back at home, Lynn and Daniel made several pans of fine cookies, both Chocolate Chip with Walnuts and Butterscotch Chips with Pecans.  Mikey, the boys Grandpa and I voted the second to be the better ones.  However, we did have to taste several samples to come to that conclusion. Yep, several...actually forgot to take any pictures, if you can imagine!

Jim and Lisa had an evening engagement, so Lynn, Daniel and I made a dinner of Sausage, sautéed onions, Jo-Jo potatoes and a green salad.  It worked!

Later, Lynn went out to the coach and Daniel and I watched a great movie: "Now You See Me."  Lots of magic and illusion made it a fine film.

We'll leave today, Sunday, for our next stop at our Nephew TJ's place at Sand Point.

We'll keep you posted.  Note: some pics are on the blog, but additional photos are on Flickr.  If you are ambitious, go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/ralphieboyo/

Sounds like a great visit and always good to see a soccer game....been awhile for me after I had 18 years of it. Sorry about not responding to your writings (will get to it) but this back problem doesn't allow me to sit very long-quite painful-at least in the computer chair...very odd. Fall is definetly setting in here----
