The big action has been the yard. Lynn's flowers have really taken off. We have replaced a lot of the weed block and over half of the natural mulch. We now are trying this cool material made from recycled automobile tires. You'd swear that it's wood! It is stained a natural red cedar color and really looks great. My only fear is that the dogs may try to chase it...only kidding.
We came up here to the lake place on Sunday to prepare for the chaos of the Independence Day holiday. Lots to do, of course, but we always have time for a hike or a, in my case, a bike ride
The weather has been unbelievable, reaching 86 degrees today, to tie the highest we've ever seen here. Only a light wind helped to relieve those who have already begun to complain. Since we travel south each winter to seek such a clime, we do love it. Pour it on!
I put a potpourri of photos up on Flickr this evening. Most are of Lynn's flowers, but there's a couple of a doe deer with twins in the neighbor's yard and a couple from here.
Our daughter, Lisa, her husband Rich, and others will be here later in the week, so I'll be posting more later.
Good to see you again...
