We left the solace of our spot at Bar J RV park early and got on the road at a good time to avoid some of the Tucson morning traffic.  It's a busy place, but tolerable compared to where we were headed.

The dash "air" worked until about ten o'clock, when we stopped at a Rest Area and engaged the generator and the coach air conditioner.  The rest of the trip was in very nice cool conditions.

Phoenix is a Mad House!  We did find the Ford Dealer without any problems, however and dropped Shorty off for his second, potential fix.  Off to a couple of RV dealers to see what's shakin'.

At the second place we found just what we're looking for.  It's a Winnebago Sightseer, 29 feet long and in great condition.  The down side is that they insulted us with what they offered for Shorty on the trade.  We left with mixed emotions...

We hit the local Costco and wandered through the madness back to the Ford Dealer.  We invested some more money into the Arizona economy and got a "free" overnight stay at the dealer.  I double checked the dash air and it is truly working.  Gotta have faith that it will continue.  They replaced a switch that should have been replaced in Las Cruces.  I'll make a call to the other place and see what we can come up with.  Wish me luck.

Our plans have changed.  Lynn really wants to see Zion NP again, so we'll forego our stop at McDowell Mountain Regional Park this trip back and head north from Flagstaff into Utah. There's a CG north of Flagstaff that I visited, solo, last year.  We may stop there at Bonito USFS CG.  Time will tell.

More from down the road...later.

Plans are made to change and McDowell will be there for awhile (I hope!). Bonito is a great place, too. You told me about it last year and I stayed there a number of times last summer/fall, alternating between there and Sunset Crater N.P. I really like the Flagstaff area and plan to return later this year. Glad you are being picayunish with the motorhome thing.

Hey there, we are back home...earlier than expected! Good for Lynner, love that Zion, just toured on the bike trek. Good luck on the hunt for a different traveling home! You have put many miles on Shorty! Travel safe and enjoy the nice weather! Hugs....

Seek and ye shall find....re: new motor home. So no visit to Grand Canyon, I am guessing? You are right...Phoenix is a mad house but I guess there are some slower areas. I have a few friends down there-guess they like the warmer climate. Time for a visit to them next winter. Drive safe.
