Today is the day to do a bit of editorializing.  If you aren't interested in such, you might want to pass...

One of the things we've noticed it that there are certain drivers in Florida, whom I call "Pace Cars."  As you may know, a Pace Car sets the pace in a race, such as the Indianapolis 500.  It's a slower pace so the drivers behind can get together in a group and have a fair start.  The cars in Florida, serve no purpose that I can tell.  The cruise along at about five miles under the speed limit on two lane roads and are unaware of the long line that is forming behind them.  Eventually, depending on the power of your prayer, they turn off.  I suppose that if you don't travel as we do, that it's no big deal.

The last couple of days have been "Reservation Days."  With all of the folks here in the Southland at the campgrounds, it's a necessity to get your reservations in advance.  Well in advance is the best bet.  We had everything set up for our trip down the West Coast to Cudjoe Key and back up to south of where we are now. Since the weather in Savannah has gotten quite inhospitable, we've decided to forgo the beautiful on this trip.  We're heading into South Georgia tomorrow and then in a westerly direction.  Thus the challenge: find spots to stay for the next ten days.  After about four hours of labor together, we're set up all the way to near my nephew James' place in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.  Whew!

Today we're just hanging around here at camp in Welaka.  It's in the high seventies and partly cloudy and we are loving it.  I saw the map of MT temps on FB this AM and am glad that we are where we are.

Thanks, you faithful readers, for bearing with my baring to you...

You might try the Davis Bayou National Sea Shore c.g. near Ocean Springs. I stayed there on my way out west 5 years ago. It's a nice place and cheap, as I recall. Also, Ocean Springs has some good seafood restaurants. My old stompin' grounds around Chicago is having some pretty nasty weather, too, as well as the northeast. Glad to be nowhere near any of that stuff.

As Horace Greeley said, "If you don't like the rain, go West young man!

Snowing here when I closed the garage door a hour ago! More on the way, we need some moisture so I won't complain! Have work to do inside anyway. To bad about the pace car drivers, that is such a drag. Reassuring that every Tom, Dick and Harry will be packing heat around here soon with the antics of the legislators! I'm movin' to WA or CO! Hugs.....
