What I did
Early this morning, Lisa and Rich went out on a fishing trip with a guide. We drove back toward the mainland and visited Bahia Honda State Park.
It's a great park, with several beaches to visit and lots to do. The original railroad bridge still exists there. It's part of the railroad finished in 1912. The bridge took seven years to complete. The pics will give you some idea. I've also included some sunrise shots from Fandango so you get an idea of the value of an early rising.
Lynn, Joe and Mel had a blast walking the beach and exploring. The first beach there was well covered with seaweed, but after only a short drive, we came upon a real beauty. The sand was shining white and held many shells for Lynn to collect. Folks were scattered about, sunning, reading or just enjoying the day. The sun was magnificent, after having had clouds earlier in the morning. The pictures, which I'll post here and on Flickr will tell the story better than I. Lisa will hopefully write a piece about the excitement of shark fishing in a fifteen foot boat. Only time will tell...
