After a quick trip on the Everglades in an airboat at Buffalo Tigers, we stopped off at the Costco in Kendall.  We stocked up on necessities and then went back to our campground.  With the luggage stowed securely in the coach, we headed out, following Lisa and Rich to Cudjoe Key.

The trip was slow with lots of traffic due to a huge Nautical Flea Market just before Marathon Key.  After a few incidents of gridlock, the rest of the trip went well albeit slowly due to the continuous traffic and narrow roads.  One of the highlights was going over the "Seven Mile Bridge", which connects two of the Keys.

The weather is beautiful, with temps just barely hitting the eighties and ever present cooling breeze.  After about a hundred and twenty miles, we pulled into the house that we're renting called the Fandango.  It's a three story house very close to the water and includes our own dock and kayaks among other things. The trip of just under 4500 miles was worth it.

After we got settled, Rich cooked us some terrific burgers and we ate dinner outside.  It's quiet here, but a bit strange for me not to be in a house without wheels.  I will get it, I'm sure.

I barely saw the end of the sunset and also the almost full moon as we sat outside enjoying the best of winter.  I must say that I do love Florida!

Just one picture today, that Joe took of yours truly while driving on the "Overseas Highway."  I'll post the rest, including shots of the airboat ride tomorrow, as time permits.

Thanks again for stopping by.

Good shot of the driver! You look very natural at it! Sounds like a nice place with all that water, that is some system of bridges .....do they all float or what? Water can't be to deep! Enjoy the house and the water activities, really sounds like FUN! Glad you like FL.Hugs
