What I did
The Miami Metro Zoo
Today started out calmly with a late rising, on my part. At almost seven o'clock, I rolled out of the rack. It was seventy degrees and calm. Perfect weather for our guests to enjoy.
We picked up Joe and Mel at their hotel with little difficulty. We did find a few turn-around stops that we hadn't planned, otherwise it went smoothly.
Then we went to the ZOO! It's not just any zoo, but a huge one called the Miami Metro Zoo. We spent about five hours wandering from Asia to Africa and several areas in between. We saw things that some of us had never seen and some things that were old animal friends. Of course, the giraffes and elephants still hold my heart.
The photos, now only on Flickr, but just in case, here's the link one last time:

We had lunch at the zoo too. Lynn had a kid's hotdog basket, while Joe and I each had a Cuban "Samo" basket. All came with a huge batch of fries. Actually Joe and Mel shared the sandwich aka "samo."
The day passed quickly and soon it was after two and we were bushed.
We dropped the kids off at their hotel and now here we are at home again. Tomorrow, brighter and earlier than most appreciate, we're heading north to go on an Air Boat Excursion into the Everglades. It includes some time snorkeling, which I am game to try. What the heck man, I'm old and can try most anything once. Right?
Thanks for checking on back, amigos.

Love those giraffes, elephants...remind me of the Portland Zoo...they threw dung at us! No kidding! Hope the snorkeling is great fun, remember...air tube UP! How warm is the water? Hugs...
I gotta say even your zoo pictures look like you got the various animals to pose for you....I hope they had an agent that charged you....anyway, nice ones and Of course I have a song for that. Glad you are having a good time with Joe and Mel......looks like Joe really got into his poses.
