The wind continued throughout the night, but it remained warm outside. When I arose at five AM it was still seventy degrees out. But, the wind blew and blew, waxing and waning. By about ten in the morning, we both noticed the Tornado Warning shown both online and on the phone. It would run until a bit after one in the afternoon.

I went outside and put everything away that could be moved by the wind. According to our weather sites, it was blowing about 25 miles an hour and gusting to forty. This was an entirely new experience for us. I was getting a little uncomfortable and so was Lynn. What to do? Of course, we prayed and did out best to give it over. It worked, as usual. But it was still a tense time. We kept busy and listened to the rain strike the coach roof. If you've never been in an RV in a rainstorm, you can't imagine the difference from what it's like in a house. Lots of rattling and clacking engages your ears and all. It can be comforting, if, and I'm stressing, if, there's no Tornado Potential in the area. I should have known better than to have washed both rigs yesterday. Who'd have known? Oh yes, the temperature is now in the low fifties. Out come the space heaters to the rescue!

By noon or so, the wind was settling down and the rain fell steadily. So, we had lunch...

A short while later, we hit the road and drove into Spanish Fort, about ten miles from the CG. Lynn had found a new market for us to explore, Publix. This particular store was well-rated and better than the average of its mark, according to what she'd found online. It's a bright and busy place with a great variety of foodstuffs and various other items. We shopped and had fun doing it.

I'd been concerned about tire noise emanating from Sooby's front end. So, I found a good place via the Droid and we headed over. The manager, an older guy, checked the tire surface on the right front. He noted a flat spot on the inner surface. We figured it is caused by towing the car and making turns when the wheels don't follow along exactly. No danger is involved, just the noise and vibration. I was very relieved, since it's been bothering me for about a week now. When I get back home, I'll check back with the place I bought them and see if there's anything they can do for me. They don't have much traction in snow either. Not a good deal for us, I'm thinking.

Last night I barbecued brats outside. This eve, Lynn is making her Clam Chowder. What a contrast! When I consider it all, that's how life is. Ups and downs, cold and hot, dry and wet, peace and stress... We're still learning how to cope with it all. "It's all good," as my old friend Hank says.

Thanks for the calls, comments and generally keeping in touch. You are all a gift!

Wow! Being from Illinois I've always wanted to witness a tornado but from a safe distance and not near my house... or my RV.

Think I will take the hail and the earthquakes over the tornadoes. Your house looks fine - lots of late night lights!

Talk about STRESS. I can well imagine how frightening it was with all that wind and tornado warnings. Sure glad you are alright. You sure are right about life. And that we are all still learning. Keep Safe. Love Ya both.

Several days behind as usual...me, I mean. Glad a Tornado didn't hit but sad that I didn't get any of the clam chowder.....I will have to ask Lynn her recipe when you get back.....I am just starting to think about making some since it is a favorite for me. I have been to a Publix market , I think,,,isn't it a chain somewhat? Our legislature is working on such bills as getting the US out of the United Nations via Dave Lewis.....sounds pretty 60s to me....via John Birchers. Anyway, love all your pics.....it's like I am there...well, maybe not but I still get the idea of where you are at. take care
