We've been busy.  We finished our camping sojourn on the top of McDonald Pass and headed home.  After cleaning and removing our perishables from Shorty, we took him out to our friends in the valley for awhile.  We'll be back camping later in the summer.  I did order and receive some Bilstein shocks for him which will improve the ride and comfort as we continue our travels.

We've done some things at home and in the gardens.  We've been up at the lake house and have been busy there.  I replaced some of the aged skirting that I installed about thirty years or so ago.  We have some painting to do too.  But, we've been continuing our hiking and taking pictures around the lake area.

Last weekend I had the Pump Guy come up and check out our system. It seems that we have an underground leak in the line somewhere. Lynn, her cousin Maureen and her son EJ, along with his friend Tyler, and I dug a starter-hole in search of the source of the elusive liquid. The hole is three by six and nearly five feet deep.  We worked over half a day at it and finally decided to get a Digger Guy to come by and finish the job.  The boys, both early teenagers, did a great job digging.  They were both tired and sore the next day, but we three older folks were surprisingly comfortable and suffered no ill effects from the workout.  It's great to stay fit and be able to engage in such antics without any untoward sequellae.  Cool words, huh? I've never had an opportunity to wax medically for a long time.  Enough of that.

When we returned to Helena, I spent two evenings picking raspberries.  I got nearly a gallon each night, totaling about ten pounds of the delicious little garnets.  There were at least half as many lying/laying on the ground in the patch.  We'll have to do a better job of scheduling pickers when we leave next.  If you're willing to give us a hand, give me a call.  It's easy work and the rewards are great.

We'll head back up lakeside on Tuesday after a couple more annual medical appointments.  We'll watch the Digger Guy do his stuff and then spread some fresh gravel on the driveway and along the north side of the house.  It will be good to get that taken care of.  We have some painting to do, but intend to get in some hiking and geocaching action too.  It's been a long while since we've found a cache together. It should be fun.

I'll try to do a better job of keeping you posted on all of this.  I did put about thirty or so pics on Filckr, since it's much more user friendly.  If you'd like to see them, check out   http://www.flickr.com/photos/ralphieboyo/

Thanks for hanging in with us.  Hasta la vista Babies!

Was wondering how the water leak was coming along. Hopefully the digger guy will locate it it easily and you will back in business soon. Also, thanks for reminding me about geocaching. There must be some around here. I'll check it out tomorrow.
