Yesterday, we drove south to a small town called Tubac.  It's the area of an old mission we visited last year.  The town itself is mostly set up for tourists and has some nice shops and good restaurants.  Lynn bought a few gifts and a beautiful Mexican pot for our garden.  We happened upon our friends, Don and Barb at the pottery shop.  It was a great surprise for us.  We visited and then went out for pizza at a cafe near the town.  They have obligations on Wednesday, so we bade them adieu with plans to get together in Helena.  Imagine that...

We went out later and tried to find a couple of caches.  The owner put them in spots inaccessible to us.  It was hot and I was a bit crabby, not having had my nap yet.

This morning we drove back up to Green Valley and went to the Farmer's Market.  It's much more than that, however.  We sought out a stand where a woman sells bee-proof hummingbird feeders.  We got on that we will hang on the window of Shorty.  It's a very unique design and quite clever.  I gassed-up Sooby at Safeway.  With the discount, it was $3.71.  Seems to keep going up, but that's for another blog.  Life is good here with clear, blue skies and temperatures in the mid-eighties.  I must say that I love Arizona in the winter and spring.

This afternoon we sought and found a cache near the Santa Cruz river.  Then we took a walk on the old Juan Bautista de Anza trail. It runs north from Mexico and has been in place for several centuries.

We had some "lefties" for dinner and now I'm typin' away and Lynn is on the phone.  We'll leave here tomorrow for Picacho Peak State Park for a few days.  It's the site of the only Civil War (Oxymoron?) in Arizona.  The good guys won, but the other guys haven't figured that out yet...

Thanks for stopping by.

Great shot of the Cardinal. Looks like you're still having lots of fun in the sun.
