What I did
Blackberries at last...

Today was the day, at last.  After a serious morning of shopping, Lynn, Lisa, Rich and I set off.  Rich, being the native Tacoman that he is, led us at last to a few places to pick the berries.  They are nothing like the humble raspberry, that's for sure.  The thorns are about a quarter of an inch long and grow at an angle, much like a hook.  When you come in contact with one, you have to remember NOT to try to pull away from it. That only causes deeper penetration.  I know. I was there. I have the scars.  After about an hour of joint picking, we had over a gallon of the luscious things. Easily enough for a nice pie.

The girls are off shopping again, as I write this.  Rich has been busy around the house and I have been supporting him...kind of.

Lisa and Rich will return to work tomorrow and Lynn and I will keep busy, each in our own way.  We'll head back to Montana on Wednesday and stay at the lake for a few nights before going back to Helena.  It's been a wonderful visit.  We are truly blessed...
