Light Duty Day

Another beautiful day in the high country.  I awoke to a quiet morning after having slept very well.  The sun was just coming over the Pintlars. After doing my readings et al, I got on the 'Net and did my other daily rituals and then went out and sat in the sun, enjoying the beauty and blessing of it all.  It truly doesn't get any better than this.

Due to an inspiration, I cooked up a pound of bacon and made my favorite whole wheat pancakes.  Lynn was happy, no, make that ecstatic!  I must admit that the pancakes were great.  It's been years since I've mad them.  We used to eat them after doing a minor fast and then "carbo loading" to run a marathon.  Those were the days! Was it Eat to Run or Run to Eat?

Lynn, Bonnie, the cousin, and I took our usual walk along Rainbow Bay again.  Many more folks up here than during the week.  Lots of traffic and a few fisherman were in the area.  I got just a couple of shots, but did get some last night at the moon.  The shot of the "logging" illustrates how sad the area is looking.  Clear cutting, as I've stated is such a waste of the good trees that remain.

As for the pictures, you be the judge...are they interesting enough to post?

Lynn has been cooking again, having made her delicious barbecued ribs.  Man are they great!  It's an old recipe from her 90 something Aunt, Enda.  Makes my mouth water just thinking about dinner.  No photos though...Classified Data.  The recipe for the pancakes is available if you just send me an email.  The Ribs? You'll have to contact the cook.

It was hot up here today, in the mid-seventies.  Just right for me.  I hope that you have a chance to get to the area and experience the Pintlar Range, even from a distance.  It's a gift...

Tomorrow, we re-seed the area over the septic tank.  Stay tuned for the excitement...uh, project.

I really like the night photos....almost surrealistic. Did you use a tripod? Makes me want to be on the road for a photo shoot. But have to wait til the end of September. I think you should put together a slide show with music. It was close to 90 here and didn't get much below 70 last night. take care
