Went to Town and Then....

This morning, I did my usual hose-off-the-house routine.  Up here, there are an inordinate number of flies, spider and such.  They seem attracted to the house and want to become part of it, I reckon.  Every year, I either power-wash or hose it down.  This is the Year of the Hose. There's not much water pressure here, probably because the pump, like each of us is aging.  I did my best and got both decks cleaned up and the house itself looks much better.

We left at about "half of twelve" and went into Anaconda.  I went to a meeting and Lynn went to do a bit of shopping for the various things we forgot, or found out we needed when we got settled.  It's very interesting to manage three households.  The place in Helena, Shorty and here, all have their set of needs.  Can anybody live with just ONE bottle of catsup?  I think not.  We're having some company on Monday or Tuesday, friends of Lynn's from the old days and their spouses. They're all friends of mine too and have been for decades, but we don't see them often enough.  Anyway, we picked up the necessities for the visit.

Lynn had packed a lunch, so we went to the Park in the center of town and lunched.  Lynn makes the BEST lunches, but if you know her, you know she's a great cook.  She's not dramatic about it, but does do an excellent job.  She really rarely reads this blog, so don't think that I'm "kissin'-up" to her.  It's just a fact.

When we returned, we hit the highlight of our day...washing windows. Now the windows here offer some real difficulties, due to the aforementioned insects, plus water spots.  After using ammonia, 409 and elbow grease, we settled on a bit of vinegar to dissolve the nasty deposits.  It worked.

I took one photo of the view from my chair just to show you how great the view is now.

I got a couple of other shots last night of the nearly-full moon. Nothing like being in an area devoid of street lights to truly enjoy the beauty of the sky.  So many things to love about being here...
