TJ, Amy and Viv's Yard
What I did
Got hooked up again...
We went into the house at about eight thirty. TJ had prepared waffles made with yeast, which he had left to "rise" overnight. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Mighty tasty! Lynn and Herself, aka Viv, prepared sandwiches for our lunch in the mountains.
We drove about thirty some miles south, from whence we'd come, and entered the majestic Green Monarch range of mountains. TJ has scoured the mountains around here for years in search of game, fish and various naturally growing tasty treats. Today we were on the hunt for huckleberries.
Without much effort, TJ spotted a few berries in the area beneath the huge powerlines that feed industry in the area
A bit later we wandered a bit through the mountains, finally coming to rest at a vista point overlooking Lake Ponderay and several ranges of mountains in the distance. We lunched on a low concrete barrier overlooking the beauty of creation. Viv and Lynn have surely bonded in the best of ways. Of course, Viv had to SIT nearly on Auntie's lap. A good thing and a beauty to behold, for sure. We spent some time there enjoying the fresh air, wildflowers and the scenic wonder. The photos will not do it justice, but will, perhaps, put you in the frame of mind to seek out such places wherever you may travel.
We back at Healy Farm now and doing a bit of resting up to get ready to set out for a spot for supper. The "surprise" desert will follow. TJ has to work tomorrow, but Amy is off. We'll spend some time with her then and set out for our next visit near Ione, Washington.
This time here in a place of solace has been a blessing for us. It's all about people, this life... Good to be among those whom we love and who love us. It's ALL good...
