What I did
Drove...
Big day today what with taking a shower and driving. I must admit it's beautiful country with few hills and LOTS of farms. Saw another hundred or so silos and such. It got to be a significant yawner for me, to the point that I actually turned on the radio. It was tough to find a station that appealed to me, but that in itself kept me awake. We stopped at a Rest Area and i fetched my Neil Diamond CD from Sooby. This did the trick. We're located just behind the Motel and are the only guests here.
Behind us is the Governor Tommy Thompson Fish Hatchery. After the laundry was done, we took a drive back to see the sights, but due to budget cutbacks, tours are no longer offered except two days a week. There were no fish out in the outside viewing ponds due to some sort of disease. It was not our most exciting experience, to say the least
Now we're back at camp and Lynnie is prepping asparagus for dinner to go along with the ribeye steak. It's still warm here, albeit cloudy. It's about seventy five degrees. In looking our the window, I noticed another bluejay. We haven't seen any for quite a spell. They are not a bit shy, so I managed to get a shot of one. I can hear finches in the trees and another unidentifiable bird. Maybe it will show in the tree near the coach.
We'll be leaving Wisconsin tomorrow, heading to Hill City, Minnesota. It's about one hundred and fifty miles to the northwest from here. Gas prices are a bit higher here at $4.02 a gallon, about three or four cents more than in Mukwonado. How much is the gas in Helena now? Somebody must know ..
