We got a pretty early start since we had nearly 180 miles to drive today.  We took the Turnpike exclusively.  The one in Ohio, for thirteen dollars was the better of the two.  The one in Indiana was rough mostly, with nice short sections just to make me think it was getting better.  We had a serious, slow-down, wipers-on-high, rainstorm for about fifteen minutes.  Not bad, since the car and coach were both littered with small tree parts from the rain in Sandusky last night.

We stopped at a Turnpike Plaza with a visitors Center, where Lynnie, the map junkie, picked up another few reams of info.  I was content to take a "personal needs break" and down one of Lynnie's special roast beef and havarti sandwiches.  Then we continued down the westward pike.

This park appears to be a former KOA.  it's in good shape and is near to The Notre Dame campus.  We intend to go there for mass tomorrow and then explore the area.  Whatever did happen to Lou Holz anyway?

We've not seen the sun yet today, at two in the afternoon, but hope the weather breaks so we can see an Indiana sunset.
