We awoke to sunny skies and a heavy dew.  The fishermen were long gone and out on the lake trying their luck.  I cooked a Mothers Day breakfast for Lynnie and we cleaned up the kitchen together.

Then we headed out to St. Bernard's Church to go to mass.  Needless to say, the priest, an older fellow was speedy.  I nicknamed him the "Git-'er-Don Priest.  Mass started five minutes late and was over in forty-five minutes.  This was accomplished by no participation in the singing or any other "extraneous" activities.  We were both disappointed by the lack of friendliness there.  St. Bernard, and probably his canine namesake, would be appalled, as were we.

We then headed to Smokey Joes on the Tucawanda Indian Reservation.  We gassed up Sooby, at $3.88/gallon and visited the store and museum.  Couldn't find anything priceworthy to buy.  I did find a cool hat, but they wanted way too much wampum for it.

Then we sought out a place to get lunch.  The only place in Youngstown was closed at 1:30PM.  So much for the excitement of the "big city".  Wee had planned to go to Niagara Falls and tour today, but due to unforeseen allergy problems today we went home.  Lynnie convinced me to take a Benedryl and take a nap.  I did.

She talked with both of our kids while I slept.  It's a great sunny evening and we'll be heading over to the shoreline soon to view the sunset.  Be right back...

Saw a more subdued sunset, but warm and appealing, none the less.  I also heard a squawk of some sort on the show below and to the left and spotted a great blue heron.  I got some decent sunset shots and one of the heron before he flew the coop, so to speak.
