Where I stayed
Site Number Thirteen
It might be called Tuesday, but in our case, it was "Wetsday"... Bad pun, but the truth. We drove the second half of the park without much excitement or incident. We did see one scrawny deer by the roadside, but that was about it. We had been warned about the tunnel, but since Shorty is only eleven feet tall, we were okay. The tunnel, shorter and less exciting than anticipated, is twelve feet eight inches in height. About twice as tall as Lynn's dad Joe Keefe. I did a short video of the experience and to let you see how the road looks...
We decided to move a bit closer to our nephew Anthony's place in Laurel Maryland. We're now at a Regional Park in Virginia. It's a nice place, large and quiet. We hadn't heard a Northern Cardinal for a couple of days, but they ARE here... chirping away as usual. We're only about twenty five miles from Barach and Michelle's place. I called ahead, but they're tied up and really didn't want our motley crew parked in their back yard. What an insult! No really, I do get emails from the Prez from time to time. It's a good thing.
We'll stay here for two nights and then move on. It rained most of the way here, but the sun is out now. It raises the temperature, but also raises our spirits. Lynnie is getting a bit homesick and is ready to "make the big left turn" if you know what I mean. I'm content to wander my days away and see more of this great land.
I got only two photos and a short video. I do hope you enjoy them and stretch yourselves a bit and make a comment...
