Where I stayed
Alas, the KOA

Surprisingly, we both slept in this morning.  A shock it was to me, but a good thing.  We left "camp" for Mass at eleven thirty at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, located at the University of Virginia campus.  It's a large church and was quite full, apparently due to it being Palm Sunday.  But, I get ahead of myself... We got detoured enroute, due to construction.  The detour was extremely long, taking us into the woods on a single-track road, wrought with potholes and rocks.  The first photo shows an underpass we encountered on the way.  We made it uneventfully, however.  The service was a long one, due to the lengthy reading of the Passion and Death.  It's a conservative church, which many are here in the Bible Belt.

We then found a place to have lunch, the Baja Bean.  It was well rated, however, I, accustomed to Lynnie's Luscious Lunches, was disappointed.  We shared the fish tacos.  Not much flavor to my overworked taste buds, but the hot sauce saved the day.  Go figure!

We then went to the "W" place and did our grocery shopping.  Then we drove back directly to camp, avoiding somehow, the detour.

The treat of the day was in finding a trail at the KOA.  It starts out as a Pet Trail, but wanders around the area to a beautiful pond.  The clouds and sun were exactly right to get some great reflection shots.  I managed to get some that I'm happy with.  Hopefully, you'll likewise enjoy them.  We were out for about an hour and had a nice hilly walk, close to a hike, for sure.

We're back at camp and here I am.  The wifi here is pathetic to say the least.  There's no Verizon service to speak of, so I can't use the phone to get the MacBook online.  The network "re-sets" itself every two hours and slows down the more one uses it.  I hope to get this episode and the photos uploaded without problems.  You'll be the first to know.
