Where I stayed
Charlottesville KOA

It was a slow start for us today.  Lynnie showered and I had breakfast, having been up since about five thirty.  It was cloudy when we left, so perhaps that's why we had a bit of difficulty following the GPS.  For some reason, the Ozzie's voice was not working, so Lynnie was reading the directions and I got off the track.  That was the only difficulty we had...

The trip to the Charlottesville KOA is on the infernal Interstate, except for the last ten miles.  We had rain off and on and got flood, wind and tornado warnings on the Droid for the area.  All that we've seen was rain and it's thundering in the distance as I write this...  If this ends abruptly, look for me in Kansas... just kidding.

The campground is a typical KOA.  It's overpriced at $38 a night, but is located again in the boonies.  We got a freshly graveled pull-through site near the office.  There is NO cell service and the wifi is slow, but it's the closest campground to Monticello.  We hope to head there tomorrow, if the weather improves.  In the meantime, if it clears a bit we'll head out ad pick up a few groceries.  I'm disappointed, though, that i just can't find any Jalapeno Kettle Chips.  I've acquired a taste for them and now they just aren't available.  I guess I can live with it.  No pictures yet, but check back later.  I'll continue this "edition" later today if I take a few.  In the meantime, I'll upload three that I took last night about sundown.
