After some diligent research on the 'net, I found Carr Canyon and Montezuma Pass.  We set out fairly early, having done my hair and primped adequately.  Lynn was up at the crack of eight and shortly were ready to go.  We headed up the dirt portion of the road and shortly saw a "Road Closed" sign.  Being of the male gender, I felt the sign to be in error and we pressed on.  In about a mile, we saw the closed gate and sign clearly.  After a tricky turn-around we headed back to the last picnic area and found a trail nearby.  The Perimeter Trail, which we followed, didn't seem to lead anywhere, though we thought it would take us to some ruins, as told to us by a pair of young ladies we had encountered. Not so.  We did an out and back and got some good shots of the Huachuca Range of mountains.  They have numerous cliffs, which I would have liked to see closer, but was unable to do so.  We had lunch at the picnic area nearby and returned to town to shop a bit at Fry's, a large supermarket chain in Sierra Vista.

Our visit with the Whorleys and dinner Dellio's was great.  The food was easily as good or better than any Italian food we've ever eaten.  Decent atmosphere and prices.  The Whorleys live in a beautiful home in a gated community.  Thanks to the mighty Droid GPS function we found the house and got home even after DARK!  We'll return to their place tonight for a home cooked meal and some conviviality (new word).  We're off tomorrow for three nights in Willcox, Arizona, where we trek to the Chiricahua National Monument and Tombstone (not the pizza, the cowboy place) among others.  The weather got down to freezing last night, so we relied on the onboard water until it warmed up.  It's in the low sixties now and calm.  Gotta love not having to shovel anything!  Thanks for checking in...
