Where I stayed
Anza Trails RV Resort
In the photo of the Gang, Lynn is holding a piece of copper being fashioned into a piece which will grace the front of St. Ann's Church, a local Catholic Church.
Later we had dinner at an old Mexican restaurant in town, called Wilson's Cafe. I had the fish tacos and Lynn, tortilla soup and the house salad. The food was great, but the company even better. Lynn and I plan on returning to Tubac tomorrow to explore a bit more and check out a Ruins in the area.
We left the park near Catalina this morning and headed south to Amado, Arizona. We finally got hooked-up with our friends from Helena, Barb and Don. We got to their place in Green Valley and to our surprise, met Dean and Caroline, neighbors of ours from Helena. Eureka, a taste of home! We went to the monthly meeting of Don and Dean's Photo Club and attended a lecture, with slides, of birds of the Madera Canyon, just outside of Green Valley. It was a great show, with many gorgeous species of birds. Later we went south to Tubac, AZ so the ladies could shop. The guys went on a bird walk along the Anza trail. Don has amazing knowledge of birds, locating many of them by listening to the songs and chatter. We saw at least fifty birds of various species. I was able to capture about six of them with the Canon SX20.
