This park and campground is probably ten times the size of the last. The sites are dispersed well an we have great views of the aforementioned mountains. The pictures will give you some idea of what the layout is. After we got settled, we walked over to the Nature Center and looked around. You're always encouraged to visit these centers, but they're mainly shops where you can purchase various and sundry items, some of use, others not. The girl there did tell us of a couple of hikes that she thought we'd like. We drove to the trailhead, about two miles and set out on the Lousely Trail. It's a 1.2 mile loop. The photos give you a good idea of the area. Much more foliage here with interesting topography... The hike took just under an hour and was very interesting, with several birds, including Quail, just out of view of the camera lens. They are ground-runners and difficult to capture. I did get a couple of good shots at Cave Creek, which I'll include here. The trail itself is very rocky and demands attention and frequent stops to check out the scenery. Back at camp now it's 68˚ at 4:45PM. Sorry, it just amazes me that such temperate places exist.
