We both got up early today, at 6:45.  Lynn wanted to check in with her friends, Mary and Sandi.  Unfortunately, that didn't work out, so she cleaned the floor instead.  No offense to either of you, Ladies.  We took off at about eleven o'clock and drove to the Visitors Center and began our hike.  It started on the Overton Trail, but a different portion than we had hiked yesterday.  After about a mile, we found the Go John trailhead.  We hiked on this trail for about three miles, meeting a few folks, including a fellow from Capetown, South Africa and a friend of his who had been to Butte.  He mentioned Mick Hanley, who we both are acquainted with.  Such a small world, it surely is.  We continued then and met up again with the Overton Trail which took us back to the Visitors Center.  (I can't imagine how boring it is to read this tripe.) Anyway, today is a lesson in the fauna of the park.  The pictures show some of the plants with brief explanations about them.  Oh, the bacon!  Almost forgot... I cooked both the bacon and eggs on a grill that belonged to my parents, Oscar and Bernice.  It would fit on a Coleman gas stove and was used at our cabin when the weather was too hot to light the stove.  Imagine, weather too hot??  Now, look at where you live in "Sunny Montana", freezing your Keesters off. The breakfast rocked, incidentally.

Lynn decided to try out the CG shower, but returned quickly and caught me napping while icing my back.  The water was plenty hot, but the room itself is tile-floored and COLD.  Not Man-cold, but Lynn-cold.  The shower idea was abandoned in favor of a wash-up.  Much warmer in the Coach.  Warmer?  Did I mention that it got up to 65˚ today. I'd better not.

Near dinner time, at early sunset, I noticed a few hot air balloons off in the west in the early sunset.  The photos turned out to need no editing and are just as the scene evolved.  A great sunset, again this eve.  Tomorrow is laundry day, so get ready to get your socks knocked off with more mystery and excitement.  Tschüß...
