We had a decent night's sleep last night.  It was so dark that we could have  slept with our eyes open... well maybe not shut real tight anyway.  Lynn is not censoring this, so i get to be a bit crazy.  No comments in comments, please.

We started out near our site on the Clay Mine trail.  We met two state park workers who were doing an erosion check along the trails.  They explained that the mine was originally for gold, followed by silver, but it never panned-out.  Eventually they mined clay and made somewhat of a "go" of it.  The trail passes through various types of cactus, bitterbush and other flora.  It's a moderate trail, with an elevation gain of about 250 feet.  Part of it is also used by "rental" horses, so it's a bit dustier than you'd find in Montana this time of year.  The views are great, amplified by some decent clouds in the background.  We hiked for about an hour and a half and returned to camp in time for lunch.  I could go on, as some folks do on Facebook and tell you what we had and other trivia, but since you took the time to check this out, I'll stick to the germane

Lynn noticed some water coming from the area of the water heater.  So, being the handyman that I am purported to be, I investigated and found two leaking fittings on the tank itself.  I didn't bring teflon tape with, so we went in to the town of Cave Creek, about 6-7 miles from camp.  We found a new-to-us grocery store there, Fry's.  Nice and large, with the usual friendly folks, both staff and customers.  Lynn bought just enough to challenge herself in finding room to stow the articles she bought.  Home Depot had just what I needed for the repair.  It was another beautiful day, with the temperature near sixty degrees and Montana-blue skies with few clouds.  The sunset, though not a disappointment, did not rival that of last night.  Subtle hues and a quick exit were the highlights.  We barbecued again, ground beef steaks with sweet potatoes and carrots, topped off with a great mixed-green salad.  That Lynn can cook... but you all know that.  Tonight we have to decide if we'll stay on.  The cut-off for re-upping is nine AM.  Check-out is noon.  The three hours in between are a mystery to me... Oh, by the way, I now can use my Droid phone to access the internet on my Mac Laptop... So, I can do the blog as time permits.
