Where I stayed
High Country RV Park
We got out of town yesterday in the AM, after a frantic week of preparing our house for rental and loading the coach. The road was great, with very little ice or snow. We made it to Idaho Falls and stayed at the Snake River RV park. Marginal, but we had electricity and a john not too far away. Very icy there and cooooold. Got down to 16˚ during the night. We had our Christmas Eve dinner of turkey, dressing and vegetables with some of Lynn's super-good gravy. Drove in the AM as far as Nephi, where we sit now, with both electric heaters cycling and keeping us toasty. We had an exciting day driving and watching the beauty of the the snow-crested mountains which are dominant in the Beehive State. It is much warmer here, in the 50s when we arrived.
This park is basic, but reasonable at $20 for the night. Much of our day was filled with phone calls and text messages from those whom we love. Six hours is a BIT much at the wheel and I must admit I was a tad grumpy by the time we got here and gassed-up the coach. I am happy that we got OVER eight miles per gallon. Not bad for a nearly three tons of coach towing the Subaru.
