Hishem is an old Berber friend of Jays. Hes a young and quite tall guy who lives in his little house by the sea and runs his modest hairdressers from his house. Before we arrived we did a little food shopping as apparently Hishem can make some fantastic Tagine. We arrived in the dark through a maze of half-finished buildings all pinkish colour in this area.

We got cooking as we all helped. Its a very slow process but worth the wait. This time we took some notes as its also slightly different, Berber style. It has pickled lemon!
Once finished we devoured the tasty Tagine accompanied by various cups of mint tea that Hishem poured like an Art form. It has to be poured from high up to make foam and not a drop is spilled! Hishems neighbour, Abdillah came round for a bit. The guys even dared me to eat some chilli which even though was a tiny amount made me cough and splutter to their delight.
I was shown some Berber writing as Hishem can write in Berber. I was surprised as it looked like some alien writing from some sci-fi movie

We got to bed pretty knackered and i had to sleep with some blankets and pillows that previously covered the engines we transported. Nontheless i slept well waking up smelling of motor-oil!
In the morning i was able to have a quick wash and me had a Moroccan omelette, simply with olives!
We headed off to the beach to the river entrance with Jays jeep and half-way there got stuck in the sand despite 4x4. The only solution was to let some air out of the tyres.. it worked wonders with just a little less!
Soon we arrived and it was empty, the water was crystal clear and Jay went for a swim while i took pictures of the surroundings. Back to the house and it was announced that a Ram was to be killed. I asked if i could take some pictures to which they happily agreed. The killing was quite a sight and i had to remind myself that this was part of everyday life and necessary
