We stopped off here briefly while on the way down to Essaouira. This town stands out for its coastline, the lagoon is simply amazing and i can see why its very popular with tourists. The sand has a deep orange tone. One side of the beach where we park is full of fishing boats so we get out our camera gear to start shooting but halfway down the beach the sky opens up and it starts pouring down with rain. We also hear some thunder in the distance. Quite a pleasant change actually!
After a short while we decide to head off to Essaouira and back on the long country road...
I hear several canarian radio stations (calima, SER, faycan..) but as we head further down the clouds clear up and i cant hear them anymore. When we get to Essaouira we can pick up a few.
At a big town called Safi we make a stop at a panoramic viewpoint and a street vendor approaches me, a little girl whose name ive forgotten. I manage to exchange some words in basic Arabic and i give her a 1euro coin as a souvenir, she is all smiles and gives me a packet of chewing gum
