there was fog on the way back home, and people slept quite late. Once
people started stirring mid-morning, I joined my niece Amanda and Emily
for a bit of shopping at the local outlet mall. We had a quiet afternoon
watching TV and left around 6 for some Christmas shopping and dinner at
the Longhorn steak house. It was a pleasant shopping day with the
holiday decorations all up but the mad rush still not really started. We
returned home about 9 and did not really stay up late.
As a very weak parting shot, this will be a most unusual Christmas. With
disembarkation from the Summit on December 22, there will not really be
time to prepare for the holiday. I'm sure Christmas will be wonderful
but it will be overshadowed this time by something even better.
